Arbitration & Mediation

Despite the importance of the Commodity trading community in the Lemanic Region, commercial disputes in commodity trade are still mostly settled in London. Therefore, why not setting mediation and arbitration services in Geneva ensured by commodity actors? 

The idea is not to duplicate what GAFTA and FOSFA have set up for softs, but to propose solutions for commodities not yet properly regulated.  

The purpose of such service would be to lower the costs of dispute resolution, speed up the procedure and guarantee the quality. For example, the service would automatically include mediation in the arbitration procedure, without delaying latter if mediation fails.

Before moving forward, we are currently gauging the interest of the industry.
