It is ironic that, at a time when everyone is worried about unemployment, one of the biggest threats to keeping in the region commodity trading companies and related services, is the difficulty of finding new talents. Furthermore, over the past 20 years, a natural balance between job creation and on-the-job training has managed to fill the needs. But, today, an increasing number of companies are competing for the same people and the system risks breaking down.
GTSA Members had to urgently find a solution to these problems – which, taken in a more positive light, is also an opportunity to generate many new high-level jobs.
We also want to ensure that Geneva’s infrastructure and workforce keep pace with its economic growth, so that Geneva as a whole benefits.
GTSA, in collaboration with different specialised institutions, has developed different types of training programmes to either allow employees to increase their knowledge or students to start their career in an industry full of opportunities.
